FAQs About Geothermal

Can you put a geothermal system in any home?

Most homes are compatible with geothermal heating and cooling. Our evaluation of your site is free and we can answer all of your questions and work with you to design and install the energy saving system that is right for your situation, all at a reasonable cost. We guarantee 100% customer satisfaction and strive to make each customer a loyal customer for life.

Is geothermal more expensive than a conventional unit?

Although the initial installation cost may be more, the savings in energy bills over time and the large tax credits available make the installation of a geothermal system a sound investment at an affordable price.

Is there a time limit on the tax credits available?

The largest tax advantage for environmentally friendly geothermal energy is a federal tax credit that is currently in effect until 12/31/2016. In addition, depending on where you live, more tax credits may be available. Our experienced energy auditors know where to direct you and will advise you on any time limits that may exist in your area.

How do I know if my home is environmentally friendly?

Our energy auditors are experts in home energy efficiency. Please call us today at 859.525.6407 (N.Kentucky), 513.474.7555 (Cincinnati), 859.252.0403 (Lexington) or 502.363.1117 (Louisville) for a free energy audit to find out the energy efficiency of your home. Most homes, especially older homes, can be modified for significant for energy savings.

Should I spend money on new windows or geothermal heating and cooling system to lower my energy costs?

Although high efficiency windows can increase the comfort of your home, the efficiency of your heating and cooling system can make a far more substantial difference in your home’s energy consumption and comfort.

What is the average cost of a new geothermal heating and cooling system, and how much would I get back in tax credits?

An average home may require up to $15,000 to $25,000 for a system. However, with more than $5000 to $7500 currently available in tax credits, and the potential savings in utility bills, the investment in your home will pay off for years to come.

Will you have to dig up my yard to put in a geothermal heating and cooling system?

Geothermal installation does require drilling and laying pipes in your yard. We are experts and do it with minimal damage to your lawn and landscaping. We use state of the art equipment and work hard to return your yard to its previous condition.

What Our Geothermal Customers Are Saying...

"I recently completed a large commercial project that included a $300,000 Geothermal system. Arronco completed the project on time and on budget. I was pleased with their end product and would hire them again.

L.Z.
Production Manager

"I particularly like that we don't have to listen to noisy outside air conditioning units, and that the air circulation is much quieter and efficient."

Frank S

"My new geothermal system reaches the set temperature quickly and quietly."

Susan L

"We are looking forward to lower utility bills and the 30% tax credit. It should also add value to the sale price of our house should we decide to move, we probably won't now."

Dan B

"As you know we have a large home. Approximately 6000 square feet finished with total heat and cooling. Our largest utility bill ever has been approximately $220 for 1 month. We even have a swimming pool that filters all summer long."
